Title track of my new EP, "Ephemeral", coming out in a few weeks!

Don't waste your breath on me.
What you say might mean the world, to a bunch of other girls.
Those sweet nothings you speak,
Though they're meant to fill my heart, make our love a work of art,
They're just nothing to me.
You may wish that I could change, that I could be rearranged.

But why is it wrong, that all my love is saved for the sound of a song?
I hope you knew it had nothing to do with you.
Your heart was so fragile I didn't know, it needed my love and couldn't beat on its own. But I've found that my love is ephemeral.
So I did you a favor and let you go, so I did you a favor and let you go.

He thought that if he tried.
If the words escaped his lips, then he might start meaning it.
It didn't stop his eyes.
While they wandered to other girls, she could still only hear his words.

He didn't know that she cried. Took her love and left her with nothing inside.
He thought she knew he had other loves to tend to.
He longed for the day that he wouldn't need to do anything else but to live his dreams, that didn't include loving her unfortunately.
He thought he would love her if he didn't let her go, but if he finally did it was ephemeral.
