This song was written at the end of my Freshman year. It's a little cheesy but it's about being so happy you feel like you're in a dream, and trying not to focus on the fear of waking up.
lyrics
Haven't been able to hold, a hand that's not cold since he came home the last time.
I stopped holding my breathe, after the death of the last tear that I cried.
I don't have any more strength to pretend.
Why close my eyes, when I just have to wake up again
That's why this must be, just a dream.
Just a scream away from hitting the ground.
I just can't see, why me?
I don't know if I'm ready to be found.
I am happy to be alone, with just me. That's what I"ve said all along.
You might say they're just words, but they sound just like yours. So tell me how I'm wrong.
Like a clock ticking out, run away or run out, is all I've known before.
How can I believed you're not gunna leave, that I'm something to fight for?
That's why this must be, just a dream.
Just a scream away from hitting the ground.
I just can't see, why me?
I don't know if I'm ready to be found.
I am trying to find any hint of a lie to explain this night.
Maybe we're out of time but you're not from my mind, until I'm right.
That's why this must be, just a dream.
Just a scream away from hitting the ground.
I just can't see, why me?
I don't know if I'm ready to be found.
I don't wanna be, just a dream.
Just a scream away from hitting the ground.
I just can't see, why me?
I don't know if I'm ready to be found.
