about

This song is really funky, i wrote it on the piano during study hall one day but I don't actually play piano so I thought I would try another way of filling in the chords.

It's about being reluctant to forgive someone that really hurt you. And even though you might try, things probably won't be the same again.

lyrics

Take your time. Don't push me now, take it slow.
It hasn't been long since, I saw into your darkest soul.
Just help us out. Don't give me any reason to doubt.
You want me back but I want the truth that you sold.

Ooh, how am I supposed to let, let it go?
I'm sorry have we met? I don't know, who you are.
I only recognize you from the scars that you left.
When you left.

I'm not running from you, I"m running out of ways to stay.
How can you know what I need, but still not know what to say?
I should've known, happiness is more insured when alone.
It's like catching smoke, to hope we'll ever being the same.

Ooh, how am I supposed to let, let it go?
I'm sorry have we met? I don't know, who you are.
I only recognize you from the scars that you left.
When you left.

I cannot lie, and say I'm fine.
Is our chance gone? Can we hold on?
It still has soul, it's like a ghost.
It's like catching smoke.

Ooh, how am I supposed to let, let it go?
I'm sorry have we met? I don't know, who you are.
I only recognize you from the scars that you left.
When you left.
