about

This is a song I wrote in June 2012 in anticipation of December 21st 2012.
Please do not take this seriously.
I do not say Yolo.
Anymore.

Enjoy.

lyrics

Verse 1:
I'm looking out for the sun, looking out as we speak.
The temperature rises to 101, bringing droughts we've never seen.
THere's a zombie by the beach! Go look if you don't believe me.
Don't look to close or you might meet, that up and coming Tsunami.
What is it that the bible said?
As believable as rapture was, the Mayans may have been right instead.

Chorus:
We can't waste anymore
of our time waiting for an open door.
This life might be missed
Standing by for the Apocalypse.
I would love to run into the sun
with you by my side, come on the countdown has begun.

Verse 2:
All the sadness all the war, do we even know what we're fighting for?
All the crime and all the fear can only mean the end is near.
We need action we need a plan, maybe return to the holy land.
Not much time left to do or say in the words of RENT 'No day but today!'
This is no time for ricin' solo
The apocalypse is on it's way so throw your hands up and say YOLO

Chorus:
We can't waste anymore
of our time waiting for an open door.
This life might be missed
Standing by for the Apocalypse.
I would love to run into the sun
with you by my side, come on the countdown has begun.

Bridge:
R.E.M. was right, the earthquake kicked it off last night!
They say the comet's on it'd way just like the dinosaur's last day.
The flood is rising from the floor, we've got 4 minutes to save the world!
Like every song this year said, 'Don't worry enjoy tonight instead!'

Chorus:
We can't waste anymore
of our time waiting for an open door.
This life might be missed
Standing by for the Apocalypse.
I would love to run into the sun
with you by my side, come on the countdown has begun.
